Enteric Drug Delivery

An enteric coating resists disintegration in the low pH of the stomach and is dissolved in the neutral pH environment of the intestine.

This allows acid-sensitive drugs to pass through the stomach unaffected and keeps stomach-upsetting drugs from releasing in the stomach.

Pharmaceutical operations can gain efficiency via the unique properties of Aquacoat® CPD, including:

  • Completely water-based system to allow for solvent free coating

  • High solids level (30% solids) enables a fast coating time

  • Easy to use, easy to clean up, no talc needed
